Our story

Growing up on Salt Spring Island and living alongside nature’s rhythms, flowers have always touched my heart. My mother remembers fondly the wild flower bouquets that I would bring home from the forest, and how I was always looking for flower fairies.

My first job was harvesting flowers at a farm just down the road from where I live now with my family. I would go out into the fields to harvest, and then hang the blooms to dry in the old barn. Little did I know at the time that this would be a lifelong passion.

Later in my early twenties I dreamed of owning a cafe, and when that came true, I would keep flowers in every part of the cafe, infusing pastries with pansies, nasturtiums, baby marigolds, lavender and roses.

Another dream was realized when I became a mother for the first time in my late twenties. As my children have been growing, so too has my love for gardening blossomed. I have come to realize that working with flowers is my true calling. I am passionate about native flowers, diversity, organic, permaculture principles, and refining the art of land stewardship to a higher level of sustainability.

Our philosophy

Building community and connecting people through our shared love of flowers, touching people’s hearts by bringing beauty into their lives. I believe that everyone deserves to have access to locally grown flowers and seasonal blooms should not only be saved for special occasions but should be used to enrich and elevate our everyday life.
